Beautiful, modern well decorated room on a nice horse farm. Beautiful breakfast/dining room and bar. You have to fill in the form for breakfast every day. Nice to have a day at the pool. Not far from Ronda. City is small an not as spectacular as everybody says :-(

Smell from the bathroom's sink, so keep the door from the bathroom closed at night. Nobody spoke English, so we could not ask if it was still possible to have dinner (no adverts anywhere) or do the horse back riding (we didn't made a reservation in advance). Although, the staff is very friendly and tries to help as much as they can :-) . A lot of flies, but that's normal in Andalucia in September. Poor route description: from Ronda you have to take the road to Algaciras, this is the A369, a little bit further down the road than camping El Sur.

We stayed one night. We liked the rural setting and the wonderful cool breezes that blew that evening, though I don't know how typical that was. The pools looked fun and inviting, but we didn't have time to try them.

We booked an apartment, but since it had an ant problem, we were given two doubles and access to the kitchen for the same price. That was the best solution possible, but it was not the same as having our own kitchen. The room on the lower floor had the damp smell of a basement room.

Everything! Staff was very helpful, limited English but used computer to help w/translation. Prepared an excellent dinner so no need to leave property, good value. Room was very clean, bed large and comfortable. Very quiet at night. A truly relaxing place to stay, a nice break from the village/city touring sights on our trip! Highly recommend, just wish we could have stayed longer.

Very nice location, with a very nice swimmingpool. The rooms are big and clean and original. We loved it.

We took the diner (a menu for 20 € per person). It was horrible. The food was cold, too salty and too fat. It was the worst diner we had in Spain. We took also the breakfast wich was satisfying(better than the diner).

Highly recommended. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere for a laid-back romantic getaway from a bustling city-life. But take note that a car is needed to get around given its location.

This was the most hospitable place I have ever stayed in. The pictures do not do justice to the beauty of the area and hotel. We were taken care of like family.

The location, which is only 4 kilometres outside Ronda, a very nice little town, famously being built on either side of a gorge. The concept is also attractive, and it is clear the owners have put a lot of money and effort into the facility, which was unfortunately spoiled by several minor points.

The first hurdle is that the instructions for the intercom entry system are all in Spanish (unsurprisingly!) and unfortunately my rudimentary Spanish was not sufficient, so getting in was a bit of a challenge. The accommodation we were shown to was very cold, despite the heat of the day, so we requested additional blankets, which were promised for later that evening, but never appeared. As a result, two of our party were unable to sleep, as there was no heating. The blankets were supplied on the second day. Although there was an expensive flat screen tv in the room, we were unable to receive any channels, which rendered it a "white elephant", but this was (partly) rectified the next day. The hotel appears to be left in charge of young girls who speak no English, so we could only communicate through a translation facility on their computer, which was a bit hit and miss, to say the least. In summary, perhaps my expectation of a luxurious country idyll were unrealistic, but I shall be sticking to 4 star hotels in town in future.

Very unusual accomodation. There are pheasants , rabbits, geese, deer and of course horses roaming freely around the site. Lovely unique location. Would recommend to open minded travellers who are looking for something different.

Breakfast is extra and was lovely but very small. Bacon and eggs did not come with toast or rolls.

The setting was spectacular. Our suite was very spacious. Breakfast was quite good.

Internet access was very hit and miss in the main building and unavailable in our room. The lighting in the room was too dim to read by. The shower room door did not have a handle on the inside. The dinner was not worth the price. The final leg of the road on the property was barely wide enough for one car and had blind corners, the roadway had to accommodate two way traffic which made for a very nervous final leg.

The rural setting is beautiful and makes a relaxing change to staying in cities and towns. Our children (14 and 11) particularly enjoyed the water slide into one of the two pools (although they wore holes in their swimming shorts as a result). They also enjoyed the rabbit that roams around the garden and the peacocks. The staff are friendly and helpful, and used Google to translate when needed as they do not speak English. Dinner fairly basic and served quite late (9.30pm) and not huge, but tasty. Good range of options for breakfast served on the sunny terrace. We self catered most of the time and the rooms had what we needed. Wi fi good in public areas.

After reading the reviews we were prepared for the noisy roosters. We asked to change to another apartment that we knew was coming free after the first night, because we were located down by the chicken coop and while the room was well decorated, it was a bit dark and squashed with 4 people. One of the extra folding beds for the children had to cross over the entrance to the door. We could have stayed in this room, but the other apartment was completely different - light, spacious, airy, with a sundeck without the chickens and nearby the pool. We loved the second apartment and stayed for 4 nights.

The farmhouse and converted outbuildings were very historic and maitained very neatly. Our kids loved all the farm animals (chickens, ducks, roosters, rabbits) that roamed freely on the property. Swimming pool was cool and very refreshing after a hot day in the heat of Ronda. Property is very secure and a short distance (6 km or so) from Ronda. Breakfasts are good and farmhouse style cooking is available. Owner and staff were all very pleasant. Would go back again.

Only has spanish satellite tv so not good for english speaking kids or adults who want to catch up news. WiFi signal strength was very poor and only available in the eating area (nothing in the rooms).

The envoirement is certainly well maintained and the kids love the fact that they are so close with the farm animals. My girl cant get enough of the site of horses and *bambi*. The warm and flexible services provided by the owners/staffs has made the stayed in Casa Los Pastores so much more relax and at ease.

The only down point is the condition and location of the swimming pools. Eventhough it advertised to have 2 swimming pools, one of them is clearly not usable as it is obvious that it hasnt been maintained at all. The second pool is slightly decent however, it hasnt been made user friendly and the water is ice cold for kids to have a good swim.

Great views. Two lovely swimming pools and lots of animals roaming around.

Lovely environment. Just 5-10 minutes driving to Ronda city center. Friendly staff. Good and clean room with a fine bathroom

Peace and quiet. The pool, hearing the sound of birds singing and insects buzzing by. Waking up to the sound of birds singing and horses neighing.

Only breakfast was provided (at an extra cost). We would have liked to eat in on at least one of the nights. However, there are plenty of ventas within easy reach by car so no problem!
